Dr. Moore was born and raised in Seattle and received both his dental degree and master’s degree in orthodontics from the University of Washington. He was certified as a diplomat by the American Board of Orthodontics in 1989 and recertified in 2002. For over 20 years, Dr. Moore has devoted a half day a week to teaching in the U of W post-graduate orthodontic program as an affiliate professor. He is a member of local and national dental and orthodontic societies and has served as president of several of these organizations.

Dr. Moore has been recognized locally as one of "Seattle’s Top Orthodontists" in a poll taken by Seattle magazine. Nationally, he was recognized by Self magazine in 1993 and again in a poll of his peers in the reference guide, Best Dentists in America.
